Nate did such an amazing job with the video I had to start off with it :)
There are not many free events in Singapore especially ones that happen on Sentosa so when we heard that the Red bull Flugtag was coming to Sentosa and was free we couldn't possibly miss it. We headed out on our bikes to Siloso beach at 11:30 am, although the actual event didn't start till noon we wanted to stake out a good spot. We squeezed our way onto the beach to see the first craft about to launch. Before the actual launch the teams were allowed a 30 second dance. Most of the teams were dressed in absurd outfits and the dances I found to be particularly entertaining. After the dance the craft was given a 3 second count down and then the teams would have to push the craft off the end of the ramp. The object was to actually get it to fly for a bit, however most would just fall directly into the water. The first craft went and immediately fell into the water. Walking up the beach |

We watched the first few crafts and then opted to check out the ones that were lined up outside the tents prepping for take off. I have become rather used to the Singapore heat but for some reason today seemed to be one of the worst. I immediately started to melt and the sun tan lotion decided to take it out on my eyes, which made it increasingly hard to actually see the crafts without immense pain. While I went in search of a bathroom to wash out my eyes, Nate staked out a new spot to takes photos and happened to run in to a bunch of storm troopers?

I am not sure how the storm troopers could stand it in this heat, but we had decided it was time to stake out yet another spot. Our final stop of the day was the best as we could not only see the action on the ramp but also in the water. They had a number of boats, jet skis, and scuba divers to pull the crafts and people from the water.

On Saturday night we headed out to Fort Siloso for the Spooktacular event! We met up with Shannon and Blake for a little Chili's action before the Spooktacular. Surprisingly there is actually a Chili's on Sentosa, however the food isn't all that great and it's super expensive. So after a not so tasty dinner it was off to get "spooked." As we approached the Fort I was excited to see the line wasn't all to bad. We got into the fort and ready to undertake the 5 haunted trails when we realized you had to queue ( the Singapore term for a line) for each haunted trail and the waiting time was 95 minutes for each trail!!!!!! This was quite disheartening as I figured once we were in it was just all spookiness and no waiting, but we decided to make the best of it and stood in line for "The Last Sequel." While standing in line some dressed up actors would walk through making weird sounds. It provided a bit of entertainment, although lets just be honest there is no way to make waiting in line a good time. Once inside the haunted fort it was fog machines, darkness, with actors popping out around the corners. Sadly the trail only lasted about 2 minutes and was not at all worth the 95 minute wait. In one last ditch effort we opted to try the trail at the very beginning thinking they would want to make a good impression as we had walked to the one at the end. We once again waited for 95 minutes, but got a bit of entertainment when a group of the actors started doing a dance. By the time we moved up in the line to see the dance they had finished and left.. sad but true! Once inside we were once again greeted with fog machines and noises, but not exactly up to the US haunted houses. I did snap some photos of the night..
